Berva Warkentin ARCT RMT MYCC

Registered Music Teacher and MYC Educator

No music education can succeed without leaders who love to teach and who care for their valued students. Everyone is important in my classes which is why creating a supportive, fun, safe and effective learning environment is so important to me.

Having been a teacher for many years, I've come to appreciate the exceptional educational results students who progress through the MYC program achieve. Many continue on as my private students after graduating from the MYC program in their pursuit of piano excellence and advanced development.

Music for Young Children in Walnut Grove is your #1 family friendly music learning centre providing both kids and their parents with an enriching music development experience .

MYC is a Canadian music education program developed by Francis Balodis with an proven track record of success with fully qualified and trained teachers who love children. Now with over 24,000 students participating each year in three continents, MYC is Canada's number one music program for families. MYC is celebrating 35 years in 2015!

Children meet in small groups with others their age - no more than 6 per keyboard/piano class - once a week for an hour, together with their parent, grandparent or caregiver. We engage in educational games and small group activities that will enrich your child's enjoyment of music for a lifetime!

Students graduate from each level in June with a completion certificate. Graduates of the program are well equipped to pursue advanced piano education in the Royal Conservatory of Music program should they choose to.
